Post 2: What is Digital literacy
What is Digital Literacy and why is it important.
Digital Literacy is having the ability to use, evaluate, and produce information using digital technologies.
Being digitally literate means to navigate and competently use digital technology such as smartphone, laptops, social media etc. Digital technology is now a way to navigate our lives in the contemporary age, its practically impossible to live without it and now rely on it for communication, for when we work as well as our personal lives.
Do you have basic keyboard skills?

If so, then congrats you are a certified digitally literate connoisseur!
I grew up with digital technology, so I'd consider myself (the term that I just coined prior) a certified digitally literate connoisseur. I grew up with and using the internet and social media which helped me become the person I am today. In primary school I remember we went to the computer lab which we learnt to refine our keyboard and web searching skills. I still use these skills to this day, in fact I am using them right now.
I feel like I should be more digitally literate when it comes to Ts and Cs, I know I am basically giving my data away for corporations to use, that is very alarming but there's no way to work around it. I know in the US privacy laws are not that great, In Australia it's pretty good, however it could better.
